Where Art Therapy Meets Creative Health
I work at the heart of clinical art therapy and creative health, two worlds that, when brought together, create powerful opportunities for healing.
The Arts4Us Project
Currently, I’m proud to be a Creative Health Associate for Edge Hill University’s Arts4Us Project . I see my role as a bridge, connecting high-level academic research with the incredible grassroots community organisations across Lancashire, Liverpool, and the wider North West.
The goal is simple but vital. We want to scale up and systemise creative health so it actually reaches the people who need it most. By listening to those with lived experience, we’re able to pinpoint and tackle the real barriers that stop people from accessing arts activities and therapies.
My Approach
My work also incorporates the Arts for the Blues model. This is an evidence-based, creative group therapy intervention that allows me to bring clinical depth into community settings in a way that feels accessible and supportive.
