Currently Being Created

Leaving a high-control religion or spiritually coercive group can feel like stepping out of a maze. The Golden Thread Project is a free, art-therapy-informed community for anyone navigating healing, identity, and creativity after religious trauma or cultic experience.

Inspired by the myth of Theseus and the golden thread that led him out of the labyrinth, this space is about reconnecting with your own thread—your voice, your truth, and your creativity

What We Offer

  • Creative Therapy Groups (Coming Soon)

Small, supportive online groups led by a registered art therapist. These sessions explore identity, grief, spiritual wounding, and self-trust. No art experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Real conversations with artists, ex-members, and creatives who’ve used art to heal and rebuild. These stories are raw, healing, and deeply human.

  • Community Gallery (Coming Soon)

Be part of a growing, visual community of ex-evangelical, ex-Mormon, ex-JW, and other post-religious creatives. Subscribers can submit artwork, writing, music, or reflections to be featured and celebrated.
