These confidential therapy groups will be made up of 4-6 people. This allows everyone to have time to be heard and to reflect with each other as a group alongside the art therapist.
Each group will run at the same time, weekly, for 12 weeks.
As the sessions are online, you do not need to travel or live locally as a group. You will need to join the session from a private and safe space where no one else is in the room with you. This allows you to fully engage in the session and also protects the others in the group.
You don't need to purchase expensive art materials; you can use what you already have at home. Buying new items is entirely your choice.
Helpful Art Materials include:
Paper: This could be printer paper or a sketchbook.
Something to draw with. This can be as simple as a pencil.
Colours. Pens, Pencils, paint of any kind, and pastels can all be used.
Clay is great to work with, but you can also use modelling or polymer clay, play dough and even slime.
Objects and things around your house.
Art Therapy groups are priced at £35 per session making the overall cost of the 12 weeks £420.
This makes group therapy significantly cheaper than 1 to 1 therapy which is £50 per session. This could be a more affordable option for anyone looking to access art therapy.
